DAIRY YOUTH CAMP

Michigan State University will hold one-day workshops for youth interested in learning about dairy cattle and the dairy industry.  The workshops will be held on Saturday, May 17 at the Tuscola County Fairgrounds in Caro; Wednesday, June 11 at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds in Marshall and Thursday, June 12 at the Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell.  Each event will run from 8:30 am to 6 pm.  Cost to attend is $5 per person and includes lunch.  For more information, contact Joe Domecq at 517-353-7855 or Renee McCauley at 616-283-6411 or visit www.canr.msu.edu/anscikids/dairy.html

COVER CROPPING IN VEGETABLE PRODUCTION WORKSHOP

Michigan State University’s vegetable team will host a workshop “Cover Cropping in Vegetable Systems – An Essential Tool for Sustainable and organic Farmers” on June 12 from 9 am to 5 pm at the W.K.
